It got worse recently when he showcased himself deadlifting with real weights but it was like 70lbs less than what he faked and the form was awful. He's still a treasure trove of knowledge. I don't really care THAT much besides acknowledging he shouldn't have done it but yeah. Now that was really ego lifting cause he clearly couldn't control the weight.Īll in all he's done more good for the fitness community than most of these other guys trying to take him down combined 10x over.

It got worse recently when he showcased himself deadlifting with real weights(425lbs) but it was 70lbs less than what he faked(he faked 495) and the form was awful. No would've given two shits if he just used lighter weights from the start instead of faking he can lift more than he can, cause again, his content is mostly about form and information. It's really weird, he didn't need to do that, his content is geared to showing form and giving information, not showcasing super strongman strength. Also it becomes hypocritical for him to do that when the only real benefit for him being deceptive was to feed his ego, he always rails against ego lifting and not using weight that you can't fully handle.

Go in the comments for the fake weight vids and you'll see everyone talking about crazy strong Jeff is for being so small and lean, essentially it became a deceptive marketing push as he sells himself as a strength coach. The issue isn't that he used fake weights its that he was being deceptive.
